I have a wreath I made using tons of tiny red christmas balls I obtained from an old job (working in visuals at a department store when they are getting rid of stuff pays off) but I did kind of a shoddy job putting it together and it could really benefit from some lovin'. I enjoy my wreath, but I am super jealous of this beauty from Pickles. via poppytalk

Here's my little bit of winter wonderland. We aren't really decorating much for Christmas this year because of the pending move at the end of the month, so assorted paper decorations and a little table top tree will have to do.

Rubber address stamps are my fave. Now the pressure is on to choose one! (Technically I have several weeks to make this decision, but since I have been wishing and hoping I could buy one of these for months now, weeks seems like a short time frame for deciding.)

Hey, remember a couple days ago when I was trying to find the perfect iPhone case? That's funny, because I didn't get any suggestions. Ha!

Anyway, modish posted these lovely iPhone skins today and I am tempted. I'm not convinced it is the proper amount of protection for my phone, but how can I say no to a deer in socks? I implore you.

apple-raspberry mini galettes

I started with a little recipe from Emma over at From Scratch for Individual Apple Galettes that seemed almost frightfully easy. Flour, butter, an apple, brown sugar and cinnamon. That's pretty much all it asks for. I decided (at the suggestion of the mister) to add in some raspberries. I have to say this truly is one of the easiest recipes I have ever made. Seriously, folks, easier than a box cake mix. But I will warn you, you might need some extra sugar. I'm thinking about adding sugar into the crust for next time, but not being a scientific baker I don't really know how that will affect the turnout. But they sure are a darling little dessert. In fact, I may go have myself some seconds right now. So what if it's not even noon yet, during the holidays it's always time for dessert.

I may be a little bit biased, but I'm pretty sure dessert is the best part of thanksgiving. This year I'm trying out some mini raspberry-apple galettes, so I'll let you know how that goes.
