Spring surprises!

Since we bought our house in the dead of winter we really have no idea what sort of landscaping is going on here. It's quite interesting watching it take shape! There's a group of strange alien plants that shot up a couple feet from out of nowhere (seriously, it's crazy), purple wildflowers COVERING our back yard (I suspect this most likely means bad things for the health of our grass but it is rather pretty), some trees that we thought hopeless have sprouted some green, and these bushes out back that are suddenly covered in little pink buds!

 

 

 

Saturday night in photos

Last night we went to the Reston Carnival to take some photos and resist the temptation to eat funnel cakes and cotton candy. It may be a tiny little carnival but it still has the ability to make me feel a little giddy inside. You can see all of my photos on Flickr.

New obsession: Hipstamatic for iPhone

A million thanks must be given to Pugly Pixel for introducing me to the Hipstamatic for iPhone app. It transforms your iPhone into an old-timey toy camera (or cameras, I should say) to create some seriously beautiful and unique photos.

I think I was going to go into more detail about the app or what I love about it, but I have been distracted and can't be bothered to elaborate right now (ha! sorry) so I will leave you with some photos from my weekend trip to NYC with a stopover in Philadelphia.
